The Financial Management Branch (FMB), within the CDPH Administration Division, is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and management of the Department’s budget, maintenance of accounting records and financial data, and acts as the liaison with the Department of Finance (DOF), Legislative Analyst’s Office, Legislative Budget staff, and the federal government on budget and fiscal matters affecting the Department.
FMB is located in downtown Sacramento in the East End Complex across from the beautiful State Capitol Park and World Peace Rose Garden.

Job Description And Duties
Under the direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), of the Fund Reporting Unit, the Associate Accounting Analyst coordinates and prepares monthly appropriation reconciliations of various Governmental and Non-Governmental Funds for expenditures, revenue and reverted appropriations between the Department and the State Controller's Office (SCO) records.
The incumbent is responsible for the review and analysis of reconciling items to determine the proper accounting action for adjustments and corrections to FI$Cal or SCO records as well as posting all General Ledger entries for each of the assigned funds.
The incumbent also prepares, reconciles, and submits Plan of Financial Adjustments (PFA) to the State Controller’s Office (SCO).
The AAA processes government claims and unclaimed property.
The incumbent is also responsible for the preparation of the annual Year-End financial statements and Fund Balance Reports for their assigned funds.
